Sam Akpro is a musician from South London who's music is a raw and refreshing amalgamation of styles: punk injected and tender in equal measures. His third single 'Cove' has just landed, alongside a nautical-themed music video. Cleaner than his previous distortion-stained tracks, 'Cove' opens with buried keys, moving string parts and feather-light guitar-playing. There's a soulful undertone to the track owed to the Motown-style guitar hits and smooth bass parts. Singing in an honest London accent, Akpro's vocals fluidly transition from sturdy and catchy sections into hushed moments.
